In 2017, a Cochrane review showed: 25% decrease in the risk of Cesarean; the largest effect was seen with a doula (39% decrease)* 8% increase in the likelihood of a spontaneous vaginal birth; the largest effect was seen with a doula (15% increase)* 10% decrease in the use of any medications for pain relief Shorter labors by 41 minutes on average 38% decrease in the baby’s risk of a low five minute Apgar score 31% decrease in the risk of being dissatisfied with the birth experience Included in the package of Doula Care $1200 (note: $600 due upon booking and balance due at final prenatal appointment.) -continuous phone/text support from time of hire to 6 weeks postpartum -3 prenatal visits in your home to prepare for birth (includes pelvic floor and core training to strengthen and rehabilitate your muscles, birth planning, prenatal yoga, labor preparation, etc.) -round the clock availability from 37 weeks until delivery and 1 - 2 hours after birth -1 postpartum follow up visit in your home -10 % discount on private prenatal classes and additional Diastasis Recti & Core Consulting sessions and HypnoBirthing Childbirth Preparation classes. NOTE: If you have Medicaid, Birth and Postpartum Doula support is covered at 100% as I am a Certified Doula licensed under the State Nursing Board. Please contact me!
