Programs for Caregivers, Warriors & Survivors!
For Warriors & Survivors:
Faith ~ Fitness ~ Recovery!
Reclaim your body. Activate your strength. Empower yourself.
According to the American Cancer Society, by the year 2022 there will be a projected 18 million cancer survivors in the United States alone. Staying physically active can play a key role during AND after treatment. Physical activity can help you keep your strength up, which can help you finish your full course of treatment or post-treatment fitness.
As a Cancer Exercise Specialist, I help warriors and survivors rehabilitate both physically and mentally—and help rediscover their strength as they enter into the next phase of their lives. I also work with you prehab ~ to be at your best before treatment begins.
Goals for your sessions:
1. Improve overall physical strength and flexibility
2. Correct muscle imbalances, prevent and manage lymphedema and other potential side effects of treatment
3. Increase range of motion and correct postural deviations which may be contributing to pain
4. Reduce pain and fatigue
5. Receive a personalized program
Benefits of Exercise
Exercise can improve your ability, in both mind and body, to cope with cancer:
Lower risk of osteoporosis (weak bones that are more likely to break)
Increase blood flow throughout your body
Improve quality of life and self-esteem
Gain a sense of control
Clients receive a comprehensive postural analysis to determine muscle imbalances and compensations that’s can lead to pain, injury, and long-term degeneration with specific focus on physical mobility, posture and daily activities.
I offer a holistic approach to movement, breathing and life. My focus centers on the 5 foundations of health:
Exercise ~ Nutrition ~ Thoughts & Emotions ~ Breath ~ Lifestyle
